COX Top 40/Mainstream WAPE/JACKSONVILLE brings in LISA "CHLOE" GOLD to do middays and serve as web producer. Previously, she did middays at sister Top 40 WBLI/NASSAU-SUFFOLK.
In addition, CHLOE will continue voicetracking middays for sister Top 40 WPUP (POWER 100.1)/ATHENS, GA. She starts at WAPE on JANUARY 4th.
Meanwhile, COX programming guru and Top 40 WBLI/NASSAU-SUFFOLK PD JEREMY RICE replaces CHLOE in middays at WBLI with ASTRA, who moves up from nights.
"CHLOE has done an excellent job here for the past two-and-a-half years and has been a model employee," said RICE, who appears to have recovered from the METS' 2010 performance. "She is a strong jock and will take her spirit to JACKSONVILLE, working with our pal (PD) TIM CLARKE. I also told her she MUST get TIM off his FACEBOOK and music scheduling 24 hours a day and make sure he gets out and about! Hey, FLORIDA is just a bunch of NEW YORKERS anyway, right?"
RICE added, "ASTRA (THE CAT) has been with us since 2005. We took her as a “Stray Cat” from PARTY 105 way back then when (OM) NANCY CAMBINO and I met with her at the diner down the street. Since then, ASTRA has become a total LONG ISLAND star and a Social Media Queen."
The BLI schedule will also time-shift a bit, with ASTRA following BLI IN THE MORNING from 9a-2p, and APD AL LEVINE adding an extra hour to his airshift from 2-7.
RICE adds, "BLI needs a NEW NIGHT star ASAP! If you want to work for the best company and best radio station and best staff – send me your 411 now!" Hit him up at jeremy.rice@coxmg.com.
