Get well prayers go out to SOUTH FLORIDA radio legend NEIL ROGERS, who is undergoing open heart surgery on FRIDAY at WESTSIDE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER in PLANTATION, FL, according to the SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL's TOM JICHA.
ROGERS retired after exiting BEASLEY Sports WQAM-A/MIAMI in JUNE 2009 and had been recovering from a stroke and heart attack suffered in OCTOBER. The 68-year-old talker, whose long career in MIAMI radio included stops at WKAT-A, WNWS-A, WINZ-A, WZTA, WIOD-A and WQAM-A, has been primarily living in TORONTO for several years but kept his home in PLANTATION, FL.
