PEAK Talk KIDO-A/BOISE host AUSTIN HILL has arranged a treat for local soldiers serving overseas and their families, setting up a day for the families to have their portraits taken free and sent to the troops.
The day was set up after BOISE Mayor DAVE BIETER appeared on HILL's show in AUGUST and urged local businesses to "do the right thing" and meet the needs of families of troops. A HOME DEPOT employee, LOGAN MANLEY, responded by asking HILL what to do to help the troops, leading to TODAY's event at MANLEY's store in MERIDIAN. Military families will get the red carpet treatment, with photographers ready to snap their family photo to be sent overseas.
