CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WVKS (KISS 92.5)/TOLEDO OM/PD TOM COOK checks in with ALL ACCESS with a report on their annual "TOY-A-THON" over the weekend collecting toys for the SALVATION ARMY.
On SATURDAY (12/4), KISS 92.5 broadcast live from WESTFIELD FRANKLIN PARK MALL from 9a-6p and collected 1571 toys valued at $31,420 and donations of just over $3,000 in cash.
OM/PD TOM COOK tells ALL ACCESS, "Major props to the morning team of JASON "BACON" OWEN, SARA HEGARTY, DEMETRIUS NICODEMUS and DONNY P. They were on the air for the entire event and were joined later in the day by our afternoon guy BOOMER (a.k.a DAVE MAZUR) and our night show "THE FREAK SHOW" with HOLMES, BIG MAC and ASHLEY. It was truly a team effort and it was great to have the entire staff working together to make CHRISTMAS brighter for kids in our area."
CC/TOLEDO GM ANDY STUART added, "After 21 years of TOY-A-THON, KISS FM has made this as much a part of the holiday season as any of the other traditions in the city. It has come to this place because of the dedication of so many great people who go more than the extra mile to make sure that needy children will have a CHRISTMAS every year. We've had so many wonderful stories of what this means to people, that it makes all the effort worthwhile."
