WOWO 'Penny Pitch' Raises Cash For Local Charities

FEDERATED MEDIA Talk WOWO-A/FORT WAYNE, IN is raising money for local charities with its annual "Penny Pitch" campaign, and a remote broadcast on FRIDAY (12/3) brought in over $12,200 in cash while WOWO personalities pumped gas for listeners to collect donations.  The proceeds will be used to buy needy children in Northeast INDIANA a bed.

WOWO OM DAN MANDIS said,  "It's amazing to see hundreds of people simply pull up, drop cash into our buckets and say 'Merry CHRISTMAS.'"
 
Afternoon host PAT MILLER and morning man CHARLY BUTCHER hosted the event, and MANDIS said, "It's a great example of what local radio can do to impact the community it serves."
