FCC Fines New Mexico Station For Late License Renewal Application

THE ALAMO NAVAJO SCHOOL BOARD, INC. has been fined $5,600 for a late license renewal and unauthorized post-expiration operation of KABR-A/ISLETA, NM.

The fine was reduced from $7,000 due to a history of overall compliance with the rules, although the Commission rejected the licensee's documentation of financial hardship of the station, noting that it needs to consider the licensee's financial health, not that of the station itself.
