BMG LABEL GROUP Chairman/CEO BARRY WEISS has accepted a high-ranking post at the UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP. A spokeswoman at the RCA/JIVE LABEL GROUP confirmed WEISS' departure to the NEW YORK TIMES.
It is expected that WEISS will head UMG's EAST COAST Operations under new CEO LUCIAN GRAINGE, who officially starts at UMG on JAN. 1st, 2011.
