CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WKQI (CHANNEL 955)/DETROIT's "MOJO IN THE MORNING" will be flying needy local children to the NORTH POLE FRIDAY (12/15) -- or, at least, they'll THINK it's the NORTH POLE. The show will fill a real jet plane with 50 kids and parents, it'll really take off, and it'll land a few minutes later at "SANTA's workshop," where they'll meet SANTA and Mrs. CLAUS and their (real) reindeer, have lunch, and get bags of toys, plus $2,000 for each family from MOJO and the SERGEI FEDEROV FOUNDATION. The plane will, in reality, be taking off and landing at the same place, COLEMAN A. YOUNG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, where "SANTA's Workshop" is being set up on the second floor of the terminal.
The event is the capper to MOJO's "Breaking & Entering CHRISTMAS Wishes" campaign, which has distributed thousands of dollars worth of toys, food, clothes, and cars to needy families during the holiday season.
