CLEAR CHANNEL AC KQXT (Q101.)/SAN ANTONIO has done some post-CHRISTMAS renovations. There's a new logo, a new tag line ("The Variety Station"), new imaging -- and an expanded playlist. Also new to the station is KAJA and KCYY vet JENNIE JAMES as APD/MD, effective immediately.
"We have assembled some of the best AC talent in the country," CLEAR CHANNEL/SAN ANTONIO OM TONY TRAVATTO told ALL ACCESS. "BRONSON & CHRISTINE from WLTW/NYC, JENNIE JAMES, VICTOR ZARAGOZA and MELANIE ASADOOR. We found that there was a lot of music that is loved in SAN ANTONIO that is not being played in the market. You will hear songs that SAN ANTONIO loves, custom to SAN ANTONIO tastes, including anything from KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND to LIFEHOUSE to MICHAEL JACKSON and MADONNA."
A 10-song set airing earlier TODAY (12/28) went like this:
JIMMY BUFFETT - Margaritaville
MARIAH CAREY - Without You
SHANIA TWAIN - You're Still The One
PRINCE - When Doves Cry
CHI LITES - Have You Seen Her
LIPPS, INC. - Funkytown
JOURNEY - Lights
MAROON 5 - This Love
ROD STEWART - Have I Told You Lately
MADONNA - Into The GrooveCheck out its new look and sound here.
