THE OREGONIAN reports the ALPHA BROADCASTING Triple A KINK/PORTLAND, OR, afternoon host SEAN MARTEN has exited the station after 28 years. His departure is part of new PD CHRIS MAYS’ efforts to adjust the sound of the station.
STEVE PRINGLE moves into MARTEN’s old slot, and MD BRAD DOLBEER will now handle middays. Further, morning show producer INESSA returns to the air hosting the evening shift, while DAVE SCOTT and SHEILA HAMILTON continue in the mornings, with a new, not-yet-hired producer.
MARTEN wrote to his Facebook friends on Monday (12/27), "There’s nothing remarkable about a disc jockey getting fired but having the good fortune to work for the best radio station in America for 28 uninterrupted years -- that's remarkable."
