Kudos to BONNEVILLE Country WIL/ST. LOUIS and “The CORNBREAD Morning Show,” who raised $260,007 over the course of 28 hours for the ST. LOUIS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL during “CORNBREAD’S CHRISTMAS Crusade.”
Beginning early WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 22nd, CORNBREAD took over the WIL studio and airwaves to raise money for a new MICU (MOBILE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) for the hospital. CORNBREAD encouraged listeners and companies to become “guardian angels” for the effort, with a minimum commitment of $20 a month for a year.
CORNBREAD said: “I’m humbled by the generosity of the WIL listenership, who poured out their love for the kids of ST. LOUIS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL.”
WIL PD GREG MOZINGO added: “What a special holiday gift to the kids from the WIL listeners and advertising partners. This effort was truly all about neighbors helping neighbors and making a difference in our community.”
CORNBREAD and WIL are still accepting donations online at www.wil92.com through JANUARY 10th.
