George Strait Wants Fans To Wear Red Every Friday On His Tour

MCA/NASHVILLE star GEORGE STRAIT has begun encouraging fans to wear red every FRIDAY on his concert tour to show support for the troops as part of the national RED SHIRT FRIDAYS campaign at REDSHIRTFRIDAYS.ORG. The campaign’s mission is to let our servicemen and women know that we support their sacrifice and will not forget them by wearing red on every FRIDAY.

STRAIT, a veteran himself, began his “wear red” initiative at his show on DECEMBER 24th. He said: “The holidays are a time to be with your family and friends and to be thankful and I can’t think of a better gift to the women and men serving our country than to show them how much we appreciate them and are thinking about them. It’s a small gesture but together it does make a difference especially for those who can’t be here with us.”

He added: “We are going to wear red shirts to every FRIDAY's tour date and we encourage the fans to do the same. I want to see a building full of red shirts if possible."
