Charlie Cook Named West Virginia Radio Corporation Dir./Programming

Radio veteran CHARLIE COOK has been named Dir./Programming and Brand Management for WEST VIRGINIA RADIO CORP, which operates 26 radio stations throughout WEST VIRGINIA and MARYLAND as well as the 61-station METRONEWS RADIO NETWORK. The firm also owns PIKEWOOD CREATIVE post-production house.
COOK’s career in broadcasting includes 27 years as a radio programming consultant and stops along the way in MIAMI, LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK. He was VP/GM of national programming syndicator WESTWOOD ONE supervising over 50 radio programs and nine formats. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of both the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION and the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC.
In making the announcement WEST VIRGINIA RADIO Pres. DALE MILLER said, "CHARLIE COOK brings a wealth of talent and experience to a great company. He is a true radio professional and will help us create more compelling content for both our broadcast and digital platforms."
COOK will be based out of the WVRC’s corporate headquarters in MORGANTOWN.
