Bruce Logan Taps Kris Stevens For Middays

CLEAR CHANNEL Country WKKT (KAT COUNTRY)/CHARLOTTE OM BRUCE LOGAN has ended his search for a midday personality as they tap former BEASLEY Country WXTU/PHILADELPHIA personality KRIS STEVENS. KRIS was most recently on mornings at WXTU, having moved there from afternoons.

"One of the features that sealed the deal for me was team atmosphere,” said STEVENS. I am thrilled to join the KAT team as we push to make WKKT CHARLOTTE’s most listened to Country station. I have heard nothing but great things about PD BRUCE LOGAN (mainly from BRUCE himself) and I am eager to begin."

Middays was previously handled at WKKT by KIX LAYTON, whose home-base is ‘sister’ station WSSL/GREENVILLE, SC.

His work ethic & his ‘anything you need’ attitude is something all of us can learn from. His ratings success in the diary world was immediate & impactful. The truth about this change is that the demands of a PPM world are different. We needed to make this change because the demands became larger than KIX could handle while voice tracking the other 5 stations he does on a day to day basis. But Mr. LAYTON is not going away. He will continue to be part of our weekend team and available for fill in.”
