The CRTC has approved ISLAND LAKE FIRST NATIONS RADIO INC.'s application for a new English- and Cree-language low-power Type B Native FM station in ISLAND LAKE, SK. The station will air on 106.5 FM with 33.3 watts.
In another CRTC action, PAUL LEFEBVRE has been granted a new French-language AC station in NIPISSING, ON, to operate at 97.1 FM with 77,600 watts ERP.
7253231 CANADA LTD. saw its application for a new Triple A FM in PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON denied because it would have overlapped with the NAPANEE and BELLEVILE markets.
LA RADIO CAMPUS COMMUNAUTAIRE FRANCOPHONE DE SHAWINIGAN INC. has applied for a frequency change and power increase for French-language community station CFUT (RADIO 911)/SHAWINIGAN, QC, looking to move from 91.1 to 88.1 FM and increase from 250 to 31,291 watts ERP at a new location.
And RADIO GASPÉSIE INC. has applied for three FM rebroadcasting transmitters at GRANDE-VALLEE, PETITE-VALLEE, and CLORIDORME, QC for its community station CJRG/GASPE.
