BOSTON radio mainstay DICK PLEASANTS has been a friend of the folk/singer-songwriter community of NEW ENGLAND for 40 years and for the past 15 of those years he has been on UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS station WUMB.
On FRIDAY, JANUARY 7th he was honored at HARVARD UNIVERSITY'S historic SANDERS THEATER. Performers at the event included TOM RUSH, JONATHAN EDWARDS, JONATHA BROOKE, LORI MCKENNA, PATTI LARKIN, KATE TAYLOR and others.
Proceeds from the event will help to raise money that will go toward building a new studio in PLEASANTS' name in WUMB’s future home.
