YOUTUBE has announced that UMG-supported online video site VEVO will offer its catalog for ANDROID smartphone users, reports the NEW YORK TIMES. On top of UMG artists, VEVO is also the home to acts from SONY MUSIC, EMI MUSIC and a bevy of independent labels.
"In order to continue that exponential growth, it’s critical we get more great content available to mobile users," YOUTUBE Mobile Product Mgr. ANDREY DORONICHEV said. "This is the biggest step we’ve taken in YOUTUBE mobile monetization to date.”
