Deal With Fox Adds More Soccer For ESPN Deportes Radio

ESPN DEPORTES RADIO has signed a five-year sublicense agreement with FOX DEPORTES to air coverage of the COPA SANTANDER LIBERTADORES DE AMERICA and COPA SUDAMERICANA. Coverage starts TUESDAY (2/15) with SAN LUIS v. LIBERTAD and AMERICA v. NACIONAL.
"The agreement to offer COPA SANTANDER LIBERTADORES DE AMERICA and COPA SUDAMERICANA for the next five years to our listeners continues to show ESPN Deportes Radio's commitment to provide our Hispanic sports fans and advertisers in the U.S. the best sporting events every day of the week," said GM OSCAR RAMOS. "This tournament is ideal for our soccer fans because it allows them to follow their home country club teams compete for the most important title in South American soccer. We're thrilled to add COPA SANTANDER LIBERTADORES DE AMERICA and COPA SUDAMERICANA to our roster of Play by Play offerings."
WNOW-A/Charlotte Adds ESPN Deportes Radio
DAVIDSON MEDIA Spanish Talk WNOW-A/CHARLOTTE has added Spanish-language Sports programming from ESPN DEPORTES RADIO, reports the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER's MARK WASHBURN.
WNOW will also add two local sports shows, "CRONOMETRO DEPORTIVO" and "A NIVEL DE CANCHA," hosted by RICHARD BONANNO, CLAUDIO BONUS, MONICA DEL POZO and SAUL RODRIGUEZ. Sister Regional Mexican WNOW-F (105.3 PODER FM) will air ESPN DEPORTES RADIO "SPORTSCENTER" reports as well.
