A new report by BORRELL ASSOCIATES on the revenues being generated by local web sites puts radio website revenue at $60 million for 2005, up from $34 million in 2004 and part of overall local online advertising that reached $4.8 billion in 2005 (up from $2.7 billion in 2004) and is projected to hit $5.8 billion in 2006).
The report suggests that radio's online local revenue remains small (about 1% of the total online revenue) and contributes an average of just 0.1% of a station's overall revenue.
