BOTT RADIO NETWORK will launch its expansion of Christian Talk to NASHVILLE and MIDDLE TENNESSEE with the addition of five FM stations including WNAZ/NASHVILLE, WNRZ/DICKSON, W230AD/GALLATIN, W270AB/LEBANON, and W258AD/CLARKSVILLE. These stations were previously owned by TREVECCA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY.
A special dedication broadcast is planned for FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18th at NOON to mark the moment when the stations become part of BOTT RADIO NETWORK (BRN). The stations will broadcast bible teaching, Christian news and information programming.
"We consider it a privilege to honor the ministry vision of TREVECCA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY by broadcasting quality Christian programming to families across MIDDLE TENNESSEE over these FM stations," says BRN President RICH BOTT. "It is important that quality Christian broadcast facilities like these are preserved for the proclamation of the Gospel message." The prayer of dedication on the broadcast will be offered by TREVECCA Pres. Dr. DANIEL BOONE.
BRN also has plans for a major power increase at WNAZ in NASHVILLE. "Last week the FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION granted our application and issued a construction permit to boost the power at 89.1 FM to 22,000 watts," said BRN's NASHVILLE Regional Manager DON BOYD. "That's a wonderful increase of almost 15 times more power, making 89.1 FM the most powerful Christian-formatted FM station in NASHVILLE and the only one dedicated to Christian teaching and talk programming 24/7. The construction for the power increase will be completed this summer."
