Fort Smith Personality Steve Rinke Dies

Condolences to family and friends of PHARIS BROADCASTING/FORT SMITH RADIO GROUP Oldies KQBK (KOOL 104)/FORT SMITH, AR morning host and cluster News and Sports Director STEVE RINKE, who died WEDNESDAY (2/23) of an apparent heart attack after collapsing while working at the radio station.  He was 49.

RINKE served as play-by-play voice of the SPOTHSIDE HIGH SCHOOL REBELS on Talk KPFW-A and previously worked at KLYR-A-F and KXIO/CLARKSVILLE, AR before joining the FORT SMITH cluster in 2004.

Rosary is scheduled for TONIGHT (2/25) at 7p (CT), and a Mass is set for SATURDAY (2/26) at 1p at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH in FORT SMITH.
