NRB 2011 moved into full swing on SATURDAY (2/26) in at the GAYLORD OPRYLAND HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER in NASHVILLE.
Saturday Super Session
SATURDAY SUPER SESSION came in two parts featuring MARK RAMSEY and REY MENA. In "Part A," ALL ACCESS contributor RAMSEY gave the presentation "SOCIAL MEDIA ROCKS OLD SCHOOL MEDIA" in which he directed attendees to co-create with their users and engage them in the presence of one's brand. "Let them play in your sandbox," he said.
In "Part B" NRB first-timer MENA spoke on "Building a Sound Digital Strategy" and encouraged attendees to develop a digital strategy to reach both the faithful and the disconnected. "FACEBOOK is about personal endorsement plus broadcast," said MENA as he instructed attendees to empower people with the right content though appropriate new media channels.
Saturday Evening Session
JAY SEKULOW, Chief Counsel for AMERICAN CENTER FOR LAW AND JUSTICE, reflected on his life in light of being the grandson of RUSSIAN immigrant and shared stories from his work that afforded him the opportunity to be a witness to the gospel spread around the world. In his closing he issued the call: "As AMERICANS, we can be a beacon of hope, a light on a hill, in a place where the gospel goes forth, to maintain justice and freedom and never surrender our rights under the CONSTITUTION."
New NRB Officers Elected
Five new NRB officers were elected SATURDAY morning. New officers include Chairman RICH BOTT, First Vice Chairman BOB LEPINE, Second Vice Chairman JOHN FULLER, Secretary WES WARD and Treasurer JANET PARSHALL.
The Board of Directors Class of 2014 was also elected with 11 individuals brand new to the Board of Directors including PHILLIPS BOWEN, ED CANNON, JIM DALY, MICHAEL DeLON, BOB DITMER, MARK DREISTADT, LEE GEYSBEEK, DALE MASON, DOUG MAZZA, RANDY WEISS and MICHAEL YOUSSEF.
Other members of the Board of Directors Class of 2014, who have previously served, include JOHN ANKERBERG, KAY ARTHUR, PEGGY CAMPBELL, RANDY CARLSON, ARNIE COLE, DALE DAVIS, DREW DICKENS, JONI EARECKSON TADA, STUART EPPERSON, JR., LOIS EVANS, GREG FAST, JACK HIBBARD, GEORGE HOOD, TODD ISBERNER, LAUREN LIBBY, DOUG MYER, WAYNE PEDERSON, PAUL PRESSLER, ROCHUNGA PUDAITE, CYNTHIA SWINDOLL, TIM WILDMON and DAVE YOUNG.
