NextMedia Names New PD, News Director In Saginaw

Two Promotions

NEXTMEDIA/SAGINAW has made a couple of moves, moving SCOTT "SHANNON" SEIPEL into the PD's chair for Hot AC WGER (MIX 106.3). He succeeds BRIAN FIGULA who was named PD at GREATER MEDIA AC WMGC (MAGIC 105.1)/DETROIT in JANUARY (NET NEWS 1/14).

SHANNON will continue hosting the morning show in addition to his new PD slot.

OM DAVE MAURER said he and SHANNON had worked together during SHANNON's first tour of duty in the market and was excited when he agreed to return to the market. MAURER said, "I knew eventually SCOTT would earn his stripes and I look forward to his leading the MIX team for years to come!

Ann Turpin Williams Rises

Down the hall, ANN TURPIN WILLIAMS is named News Director for the cluster.

Commenting on her new role, WILLIAMS said, "I'm honored to have this opportunity to uphold and enhance [Sister News/Talk] WSGW's reputation as a regional news leader. I look forward to working, along with my colleagues, on moving our news coverage and presentation forward in the changing world of broadcast journalism."
