2011 CRB-Country Aircheck Awards Announced

The second annual CRB (COUNTRY RADIO BROADCASTERS)-COUNTRY AIRCHECK AWARDS were presented FRIDAY, MARCH 4th during the CRS NEW FACES OF COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW at COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR 2011 in DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE. The awards were given out between performances by REPUBLIC NASHVILLE’s THE BAND PERRY, CURB RECORDS artist LEE BRICE, BIG MACHINE duo STEEL MAGNOLIA, SEA GAYLE/ARISTA NASHVILLE artist JERROD NIEMANN and COLUMBIA NASHVILLE’s JOSH THOMPSON. 

Radio awards were divided into four markets: Major (1-25), Large (26-50), Medium (51-100) and Small (101+). Awards for each market recognized achievement in the Station, General Manager, Program Director, Music Director and Air Personality categories. There was also one National Personality award presented. Record Label awards included a Platinum award, which was given to a label with an affiliated distribution company, a Gold award, which was given to a label with external distribution, and one award each in the VP/Promotion, Director/National Promotion, Independent Promoter and Regional Promoter categories. A New Face of Country award was given to an emerging professional who has made a specific impact in the Country radio or Country music industry in the previous 12 months.
