Talk KJLL-A (THE JOLT)/TUCSON drops the SATURDAY 10p-Midnight "DEMARCO SHOW" after engineer/producer CHUCK AUBREY made comments about the Catholic Church's problems with pedophile priests.
The ARIZONA DAILY STAR reports that AUBREY, using profane language, suggested that since the Church had transferred rather than fired priests accused of molesting children, he should have told his bosses who fired him at McDONALD'S that he was having sex with 8 year old boys in order to avoid being fired.
AUBREY was reprimanded but not fired, but the show, hosted by MARTIN "DEMARCO" MIRANDA, was cancelled. GM JERRY MISNER told the STAR that the station did not get many complaints but the comments were not the sole reason for the cancellation, noting that the JOLT has moved away from "hot talk" to more serious issues talk.
