New HD2 Multicast Programming To Roll In 22 Additional Markets

The HD DIGITAL RADIO ALLIANCE, a joint initiative of leading radio broadcasters to accelerate the rollout of HD DIGITAL RADIO, has announced the rollout of multicast programming in 22 new markets. HD2 multicasts are now available in 50 markets (including 42 of the top 50), which is 6 months ahead of schedule. Over 450 new station have been created, so far.
The new HD markets are:
PHOENIX, MINNEAPOLIS, SAN DIEGO, NASSAU-SUFFOLK, NY, ST. LOUIS, TAMPA, DENVER, PITTSBURGH, CLEVELAND, SACRAMENTO, RIVERSIDE, KANSAS CITY, SAN ANTONIO, SALT LAKE CITY, MILWAUKEE, PROVIDENCE, COLUMBUS, CHARLOTTE, MIDDLESEX-UNION-SOMERSET, LAS VEGAS, ORLANDO, and NOFOLK, VA
