Larry King To Host Peabody Awards Ceremony

LARRY KING will be the host of this year's GEORGE FOSTER PEABODY AWARDS ceremony in NEW YORK on MAY 23rd. 

The former CNN and MUTUAL and WESTWOOD ONE host, who won PEABODYs himself in 1980 for his radio show and in 1992 for his CNN show, "has greeted figures of social and cultural significance throughout his career, and the roster of his guests reads as a chronicle of our times," said Awards Director HORACE NEWCOMB. "Now he will introduce the PEABODY AWARD recipients for 2010 and welcome guests as we celebrate the 70th presentation of the awards. No one would add greater distinction to this anniversary year."

The awards will be announced by the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA's GRADY COLLEGE OF JOURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION on MARCH 31st.
