Aide: FCC's Genachowski Not Ticketed For Commerce Post

Now that Secretary of Commerce GARY LOCKE has been nominated to replace JON HUNTSMAN JR. as Ambassador to CHINA, previous reports that FCC Chairman JULIUS GENACHOWSKI was in line to take the Commerce job are being countered by one of his top aides.

GENACHOWSKI's Senior Counselor JOSH GOTTHEIMER told BROADCASTING AND CABLE's JOHN EGGERTON that the Chairman "is very happy at the FCC and is focused on harnessing the opportunities of the communications and technology space. He has no intention to leave his position."
