KSJO Set To Debut New Format

ALL ACCESS hears PRINCIPAL BROADCASTING's KSJO/SAN JOSE will debut a ethnic format TOMORROW (3/16) at 10a (PT). Formerly Alternative CHANNEL 92.3, the station has been branded as "SAVE ALTERNATIVE" (a.k.a. SALT) since PRINCIPAL took control of the station at the end of FEBRUARY (NET NEWS 3/1).
SAVE ALTERNATIVE is billed as an online music community and radio network for music lovers to discover new artists and join the fight to keep the Alternative underground alive. SaveAlternative.com’s music stream consist of the best new music in the underground, indie scene, local standout artists, and the great classic alternative and punk that has built the foundation of the independent-minded community. SAVE ALTERNATIVE signed on a couple weeks ago with "Justice is Coming" launch campaign, bringing the local underground to internet radio.
The Alternative format will remain alive in SAN JOSE on SUNDAYS from 8p-mid on brokered sister Spanish KCNL (iFM104.9), formerly home to Alternative CHANNEL 104.9 until MARCH 2010. SALT will continue as an internet station, on 104.9 HD2, and offer applications for the iPHONE, BLACKBERRY, and DROID phones.
