Rudy Giuliani Congratulates Talk 1200/Boston's Jeff Katz On AP Award

CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WXKS-A (TALK 1200)/BOSTON morning host JEFF KATZ won a MASSACHUSETTS/RHODE ISLAND ASSOCIATED PRESS Award for Best Talk Show, and he received congratulations this morning from a notable guest, former NEW YORK Mayor RUDOLPH GIULIANI.

GIULIANI, in NEW ENGLAND for TONIGHT's LINCOLN-REAGAN DInner in MANCHESTER, NH, congratulated KATZ during an interview on KATZ' show.  KATZ thanked GIULIANI by telling him that Bostonians "can't switch your YANKEES affiliation but we'll take you as Mayor of BOSTON any day of the week!"

WPRO Wins Five First Place AP Awards

CITADEL Talk WPRO-A-WEAN/PROVIDENCE won five first-place awards in the MASSACHUSETTS/RHODE ISLAND AP Radio & Television Contest.  "THE WPRO FIRST NEWS WITH BILL HABERMAN" won for Best Radio Newscast, 630WPRO.com was honored for Best Website, JIM HUMMEL won for Investigative Reporting, PD PAUL GIAMMARCO's "The War Of The Worlds" won for Best Documentary, and DEB RUGGIERO won the Public Affairs award for her weekly show "AMAZING WOMEN."
