Van Warped Tour 2011 Press Conference And Kick-Off Party Happens In New York

17th Tour Begins June 24th In Dallas

The VANS WARPED TOUR -- which has played an integral part in bringing punk and skate culture to the mainstream -- is throwing a press conference and kick-off party this FRIDAY, MARCH 25th at the newly-opened HOUSE OF VANS, indoor skate park and concert venue, in BROOKLYN, NY. This marks the first time in the tour’s 17-year history that the conference and party has launched from NEW YORK CITY.

At the press conference, tour founder and producer KEVIN LYMAN and STEVE VAN DOREN of VANS will be joined by VANS WARPED TOUR artists from the past and present, legendary members of the VANS SKATE TEAM including RAY BARBEE, CHRISTIAN HOSOI, JEFF GROSSO, and STEVE ALBA who will entertain in the HOUSE OF VANS bowl, a live graffiti art performance from visual artist KAVES from LORDZ OF BROOKLYN and musical performances from VANS WARPED TOUR 2011 artists LIONIZE, MOVING MOUNTAINS, MC LARS and THE WONDER YEARS.

The night will culminate with the VANS WARPED TOUR 2011 headlining artists LIVE announcement at MIDNIGHT and broadcast live on VansWarpedTour.com. The 44-date tour begins JUNE 24th in DALLAS. Pre-sale starts this SATURDAY, MARCH 26th at 10a PT/ET).
