Danny Parkins Exits Syracuse's Score

CITADEL Sports WSKO-A (THE SCORE 1260)/SYRACUSE noon-2p (ET) host and SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY postgame anchor DANNY PARKINS is exiting the station after TODAY to join an as-yet-undisclosed Midwestern Sports station in an NFL and Major League Baseball market.  PARKINS joined the station in 2008 while still attending SYRACUSE U., serving as BRENT AXE's afternoon update anchor, returning in JUNE 2010 as a host.

"While we will miss DANNY's contributions to THE SCORE 1260, we are very proud of his career move.  Someone in a major league market saw what we have seen in DANNY... talent, drive, and passion.  We wish him the best," said CITADEL SYRACUSE OM TOM MITCHELL. The station says it will audition candidates for the noon-2p slot and will use rotating fill-in local hosts until a permanent replacement is determined.
