With Talk WNUY (FM100 TALKS)/FORT WAYNE changing hands from INDEPENDENCE MEDIA to GODWIN-STARKS PROPERTIES LLC on MAY 1st, the station has issued a statement to counter rumors that the station would be flipping formats despite two shows being pulled from the station by their syndicators.
The DAVE RAMSEY syndicated show and TALK RADIO NETWORK's LAURA INGRAHAM have left the station as of TODAY, and FOX SPORTS RADIO is being used to fill the lineup gaps. Starting MONDAY (3/28), the station will air FSR's "THE LOOSE CANNONS" -- PAT O'BRIEN, STEVE HARTMAN, and VIC "THE BRICK" JACOBS -- in the 3-6p slot, plus the local "SUMMIT CITY SPORTS SCENE" with CLIFF TANNER and OM/PD PETE LAFAUCIA for 6-7p. TALK RADIO NETWORK's MICHAEL SAVAGE loses an hour to go 7-9p, with an hour of tape-delayed PETROS PAPADAKIS and MATT "MONEY SMITH" from FSR for 9-10p, FSR's TONY BRUNO 10p-1a, and FSR's J.T. THE BRICK 1-6a. Remaining in the lineup are CITADEL's DON IMUS, WESTWOOD ONE's DENNIS MILLER, and TRN's MICHAEL SAVAGE. RAMSEY is moving to crosstown SUMMIT CITY RADIO GROUP Adult Standards WGL-A (1250 THE RIVER) for noon-3p.
