ELKO TELEVISION DISTRICT is transferring FM translators K216BB/ELKO, NV and K212AM/CARLIN, NV to FAITH COMMUNICATIONS CORP. for no consideration.
In other filings on a light day at the FCC, public radio broadcaster WAMC/ALBANY, NY has requested a Silent STA for FM translator W219AK/LAKE PLACID, NY, which has been displaced by fill-power WXLL/LAKE PLACID. The translator is changing frequencies and will be silent until being built out.
MAGNOLIA RADIO CORP. has requested Silent STAs for WZHL/NEW AUGUSTA, MS and KCOO/DUNKERTON, IA until it finds a new programming source.
And RAMA RADIO OF NORTH CAROLINA, INC. has requested a Silent STA for WWKO-A/FAIR BLUFF, NC due to financial hardship.
METRO NORTH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of the construction permit for WLWB/NEW HOLSTEIN, WI to WOODWARD COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $25,000, and, as previously reported, TRILA BUMSTEAD's OHANA MEDIA GROUP has closed on the purchase of the former NNB radio stations in ANCHORAGE and ASTORIA, OR for $465,000 ($190,000 for the ASTORIA stations and $275,000 for the ANCHORAGE cluster), including Sports KKEE-A and Talk KAST-A/ASTORIA, OR; Classic Rock KCRX/SEASIDE, OR; Country KVAS (EAGLE 103.9)/ILWACO, WA; Hot AC KLMY (MY 99.7)/LONG BEACH, WA; and Modern AC KDBZ (102.1 THE BUZZ), Top 40/Rhythmic KFAT, Adult Hits KBBO (92.1 BOB FM), and Country-Rock KXLW (96.3 THE WOLF)/ANCHORAGE.
