Westwood One Launching Rocsi On The Radio

WESTWOOD ONE is launching a new four-hour Urban program hosted by radio and TV star ROCSI. ROCSI ON THE RADIO will feature music from the most current Urban and R&B artists, celebrity interviews, listener call-ins and segments such as the industry insider report THROUGH THE WIRE and the listener interactive ROC THE MIC. ROCSI ON THE RADIO will debut nationwide on APRIL 25th, 2011.

In a press release, WESTWOOD ONE EVP/Entertainment MAX KRASNY commented, "ROCSI has become one of the hottest superstars of the Hip-Hop and R&B music culture. ROCSI’s celebrity status, industry connections and extensive radio experience as co-host of BET's 106TH & PARK WEEKEND COUNTDOWN will be a hit with both audiences and advertisers nationwide."

Since 2006, ROCSI has co-anchored 106TH & PARK. The NEW ORLEANS-bred, former WPWX/CHICAGO radio personality boasts a wealth of media experience., She developed her broadcasting talent and honed her on-air persona with radio experience in CHICAGO, DALLAS, BOSTON and NEW ORLEANS.

ROCSI also co-hosts WESTWOOD ONE’s BET 106TH & PARK WEEKEND COUNTDOWN along with TERRENCE J. The show currently airs on radio stations in top markets across the country including NEW YORK, CHICAGO, PHILADELPHIA and SAN FRANCISCO.
