EMI CHRISTIAN MUSIC GROUP and WORTHY PUBLISHING have signed a long-term fulfillment and retail distribution agreement. Under the new agreement EMI CMG will provide fulfillment services to all physical retail channels as well as sales and retail marketing support to the independent Christian retail channel. Worthy will directly manage sales representation to all national accounts including BARNES & NOBLE, LIFEWAY, BOOKS-A-MILLION, CBD, TARGET, WAL-MART, FAMILY CHRISTIAN STORES, MARDEL AMAZON, and all international and digital accounts.
“With the combined strength of our experienced book publishing team and EMI CMG’s stellar reputation for excellence in the music business and customer service, this alliance creates an all-encompassing Christian media platform for books, music, and video, the first of its kind in the industry," said WORTHY President/CEO BYRON WILLIAMSON.
“Our company was founded on the idea of creating a platform to support and develop communicators of the gospel. We have established a formidable track record in doing that with both music and video. Adding books by world-class authors writing on compelling topics is a natural extension for us. We believe this partnership with WORTHY will improve our ability to effectively serve Christian retailers and will make us a stronger distribution company for our labels, film studios and other business partners," said EMI CMG President/CEO BILL HEARN.
The first list of titles to release under this new partnership in third quarter 2011 include CHARLES COLSON's "THE SKY IS NOT FALLING" (SEPTEMBER 2011), STEPHEN ARTERBURN's "WALKING INTO WALLS" (AUGUST), "BELIEBER! FAME, FAITH AND THE HEART OF JUSTIN BIEBER" by CATHLEEN FALSANI (SEPTEMBER) and GLORIA GAITHER's "A HOMECOMING CHRISTMAS, MAKING MEMORIES OF COMFORT AND JOY" (SEPTEMBER).
