KPAM/Portland Adds Evening Sports Show

PAMPLIN Talk KPAM-A (AM 860)/PORTLAND is adding a daily three-hour sports show hosted by Sports Dir. RON CALLAN to the lineup.  "NORTHWEST SPORTS TONIGHT WITH RON CALLAN" will air weeknights 6-9p (PT) and will include a heavy dose of OREGON STATE BEAVERS sports, since KPAM is the home of the school's play-by-play in PORTLAND, as well as coverage of pro and college sports.

PD DENNIS GLASGOW said, "RON has earned this exciting opportunity with all his years of sports media service in the PACIFIC NORTHWEST, and he's chomping at the bit to entertain and hear from sports fans in PORTLAND and Southwest WASHINGTON.  While the other Talk stations are shutting down or going through the motions for the evening with play by play or automated national talk shows, we'll be the only station in the market where you can listen, fire off your feedback and interactive until 9pm every single night."

CALLAN, who also hosts pre- and post-game shows for OREGON STATE games through LEARFIELD SPORTS, will also be doing a daily feature, "THE OREGON STATE BEAVER MINUTE," for KPAM and will blog for the station and other PAMPLIN websites.
