Peter Furler Returns To Music With 'On Fire'

NEWSBOYS Founder PETER FURLER will return to music with the release of his first solo album "ON FIRE" via SPARROW RECORDS on JUNE 21st.  FURLER ended his tenure as the leader singer of NEWSBOYS in 2009.

FURLER left NEWSBOYS amicably and stepped away from non-stop touring. He sold much of what he owned, including cars, home and his shares in INPOP RECORDS, a label he co-founded in 1999, and moved to the GULF of FLORIDA.  “I didn’t have a clue what I was doing next,” said FURLER.  “I’d been doing 100-plus shows a year, writing, then finishing a record for more than a decade.  It was good, but it was a merry-go-round that was never going to stop."

FURLER did not plan to release the new music created during this time but found it was the most uplifting music of his career.  The debut single "Reach" is currently going for adds and is available on ITUNES TODAY (4/19).
