With the loss of ESPN RADIO to RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING's crosstown future Sports outlet and the exit of TONY KORNHEISER to join ESPN's MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL crew, CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WTEM-A (SPORTSTALK 980)/WASHINGTON is revamping its lineup effective MONDAY (5/1), replacing ESPN RADIO's MIKE AND MIKE morning show with FOX SPORTS RADIO's STEVE CZABAN, who happens to also co-host WTEM's "THE SPORTS REPORTERS" with ANDY POLLIN. The latter show is moving from afternoons to 9a-Noon, following CZABAN's solo network show.
In middays, former WASHINGTON REDSKINS, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES, and NEW YORK GIANTS running back and return specialist BRIAN MITCHELL will host Noon-3p weekdays, followed by an expanded JOHN THOMPSON show extended two more hours in afternoons, hosted by the former GEORGETOWN basketball coach.
