Talk WHCU-A/ITHACA "MORNING NEWSWATCH" host CASEY STEVENS is exiting the station after 15 years (10 in mornings), effective MAY 26, to complete his studies in substance abuse counseling at TOMPKINS CORTLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
Replacing STEVENS is sister Country WQNY (Q-COUNTRY 103.7) afternoon host and WHCU SATURDAY morning host DAVE VIESER, who will host the show alongside PD/ND GEOFF DUNN starting MAY 29. VIESER has been with WHCU since 2005 and has experience at the old WTKO-A/ITHACA, WCNC-TV/CHARLOTTE, WQAD-TV/QUAD CITIES, WSTM-TV/SYRACUSE, WRVO, WSGO, and WGES/OSWEGO, WNYR/WATERLOO, NY, WHEN-A and WRHP/SYRACUSE, KRNV-TV/RENO, NBC NEWSCHANNEL, THE WEATHER CHANNEL, and the RENO GAZETTE-JOURNAL; his father, also named DAVE VIESER, is the former morning host at WGBB-A/LONG ISLAND.
