In an unprecedented move, some of the assets from the sale of convicted sex offender DOUG LANE's Oldies WICK-A-WYCK-A and AC WWDL (now WWRR (104.9 THE RIVER))/SCRANTON-WILKES-BARRE have been given to social services groups that deal with children.
The FRIENDSHIP HOUSE is the first beneficiary of a $10,000. check from the proceeds of the station sale, following a petition by LACKAWANNA COUNTY prosecutors to use the profits for charity. Other groups will receive donations from the sale of the stations to BOLD GOLD MEDIA GROUP, as will LANE's victims.
