From the "Good Excuse To Stay Up Past Your Bedtime" department, ELVIS DURAN rocked LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON last night (4/27), giving well-deserved props to house band THE ROOTS, and alternately complementing FALLON on his good looks, while also blaming him for a "pukey DJ" SNL skit, which DURAN claims that he was the basis for.
FALLON also complimented the other members of the show, who were in the audience and were shown on camera, saying to DURAN, "You've worked with different crews throughout your career. I say, right now, you probably have the best crew." DURAN replied, "They're stoned and drunk."
FALLON appeared on DURAN's nationally-syndicated ELVIS DURAN AND THE MORNING SHOW recently, and this was JIMMY's way of returning the favor.
In more ELVIS news, the Show welcomed GRAMMY AWARD-winning artist BRUNO MARS to the program this morning. While discussing last night’s premiere of NBC’s The Voice, MARS said contestant TJE AUSTIN did a great job performing his chart-topping song "Just The Way You Are."
Later during the interview, MARS tried to convince the morning show crew that they should love YOUTUBE sensation REBECCA BLACK’s song "FRIDAY." "It’s one of the greatest songs ever written," said MARS. "I don’t understand, you guys should feel the same exact way I do. When I heard that song, I was just like ‘hell yeah, it’s Friday. And guess what? Tomorrow’s SATURDAY. Let’s sing about it.’"
