The FCC has proposed a $14,000 fine against MATTOON BROADCASTING COMPANY for tower enclosure and main studio staffing violations at Adult Standards WLBH-A and Hot AC WLBH-F (MAGIC 97)/MATTOON, IL. An FCC agent visiting the station's studios was greeted with a locked door and no answer to phone calls or doorbell rings, and two cars in the parking lot with flat tires. He also noted fences that were falling down or missing surrounding the towers of WLBH-A.
In addition, the Commission proposed a $4,000 fine on PILOT MEDIA, LLC for missing quarterly issues/programs lists at Country WIBL (107.7 THE BULL)/FAIRBURY, IL. The fine is being reduced from $10,000 because the file was mostly complete.
