FCC Proposes Fine Against Utah Station For Tower And Power Violations

The FCC has proposed a $10,000 fine against FRANDSEN MEDIA, licensee of Oldies KGNT (KOOL 103.9)/SMITHFIELD, UT, for power level violations and excessive RF exposure. 

Agents visiting the station's transmitter site on APRIL 14th, 2010 observed that the site was not fenced off at the perimeter of ROUND HILL but while the tower and transmitter are inside a secure chain link fence, the site was without warning signs about RF exposure. It was also operating at 156% of authorized ERP.
