The latest ESPN personality to get a situation comedy development deal is ESPN RADIO morning co-host MIKE GREENBERG. VARIETY reports that GREENBERG has been given a development deal by ABC STUDIOS for a sitcom based on his book "Why My Wife Thinks I'm An Idiot." The project is part of the HUMANITAS New Voices program to develop programming from new writers; GREENBERG will write the script and LOWELL MATE and MAYHEM PICTURES will produce.
GREENBERG, who did "MIKE AND MIKE IN THE MORNING" WEDNESDAY while dressed as JUSTIN BIEBER to pay off a bet, follows COLIN COWHERD and MARK SCHLERETH, two other ESPN personalities developing sitcom pilots, both with CBS.
