CBS and CLEAR CHANNEL are providing some of their sports station streams for a mobile phone streaming package through SPRINT.
The WALL STREET JOURNAL reports that SPRINT's MSPOT package will include streams from CBS' WFAN-A/NEW YORK, WIP-A/PHILADELPHIA, and WSCR-A (THE SCORE)/CHICAGO to the $5.95/month service, which already includes SPORTING NEWS RADIO and other material, while CLEAR CHANNEL is providing WDFN-A/DETROIT, KBME-A/HOUSTON, WTEM-A/WASHINGTON, and five others to the service.
CLEAR CHANNEL has been working with MOTOROLA on a separate deal to provide 75 stations for a mobile phone service, iRADIO, to launch later this year, while CNS has partnered with NOKIA and HP in the VISUAL RADIO service that pairs an FM tuner with on-screen graphics.
