The NAB EDUCATION FOUNDATION has announced the winners of the annual Service to America Awards. The winners will be honored at the Celebration of Service to America Awards dinner on JUNE 6th at the WALTER E. WASHINGTON CONVENTION CENTER in WASHINGTON.
"Public service is the lifeblood of the best local broadcasters, keeping viewers and listeners connected to the community in ways that cannot be replicated by any other communications source," said NABEF President MARCELLUS ALEXANDER. "The NAB EDUCATION FOUNDATION salutes recipients of this year's Service to America Awards for their commitment to localism and their positive contributions to society."

Service to Children, Radio: HOWARD UNIVERSITY Urban WHUR/WASHINGTON
Service to Children, Television: HEARST CBS affiliate WLKY-TV/LOUISVILLE
Service to Community Awards, Radio: PACIFIC LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY Jazz-News-Talk KPLU/TACOMA-SEATTLE
Service to Community Awards, Television: ALLBRITTON ABC affiliate WHTM-TV/HARRISBURG
