BBC London 94.9 Host, Composer 'Big George' Webley Dies

Condolences to family and friends of BBC LONDON 94.9 overnight host "BIG GEORGE" WEBLEY, who died early SATURDAY in MILTON KEYNES, ENGLAND at 53. The BBC said that the cause of death has not been determined. WEBLEY hosted the late-night show from AUGUST 2006 until his passing.
WEBLEY, a musician and composer who composed and arranged TV theme songs including arranging the opening theme for the BBC's original version of "THE OFFICE" and composing the themes for the BBC's long-running panel quiz "HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU" and interview show "ROOM 101," hosted for BBC THREE COUNTIES RADIO before moving to the BBC's local LONDON outlet. He previously worked for EMI, produced many shows for BBC radio, and hosted at BBC LONDON 94.9's predecessor GLR in 1994-95.
