PRESS COMMUNICATIONS Country WKMK (THUNDER 106)/MONMOUTH-OCEAN, NJ has accepted the resignation of Music and Entertainment Dir./afternoon-drive personality “CAPTAIN” JACK APONTE. JACK will be pursuing other endeavors.

“JACK will be missed as part of the THUNDER 106 family", said WKMK GM RICK MORENA. “ After 10-plus years of service JACK asked that we pass along to the loyal listeners of the THUNDER 106 nation, that he truly values all the relationships and friendships he has made along the way. Meanwhile, PD MARTY MITCHELL will take over all of APONTE’s former duties, including the afternoon show for now. MITCHELL tells ALL ACCESS that they are searching for a new PM drive host.
