ARBITRON has sent a letter to SAN FRANCISCO PPM subscribers regarding estimates for ENTERCOM Classic Rock KUFX/SAN JOSE and KUZX/SAN FRANCISCO. In MARCH (NET NEWS 3/22), ARBITRON noted report users could combine FEBRUARY 2011 AQH estimates for both stations.
TODAY's letter said,
"This notice provides additional information regarding prior trends estimates for SAN FRANCISCO stations KUFX-FM and KUZX-FM.
"Effective with the APRIL 2011 report period, KUFX-FM and KUZX-FM receive Total Line Reporting. APRIL 2011 audience estimates for these stations are reported with the call letters KUFX-FM and reflect combined listening to both stations. Prior trends estimates for stations that begin Total Line Reporting, however, reflect listening to the primary station alone.
"As ARBITRON previously noted, KUFX-FM and KUZX-FM simulcasted all programming, including commercials, throughout the FEBRUARY 2011 and MARCH 2011 report periods. SAN FRANCISCO subscribers to ARBITRON's TAPSCAN Web service may therefore wish to create a multi-book average or trends report that includes FEBRUARY, MARCH and APRIL data for both stations. This can be done by creating a custom combo for FEBRUARY. The custom combo will then be included in the list of station options available for MARCH and APRIL as well."
